Usually massage shops have several types of male massage boys available – Gay, straight, cute, sexy, muscular, handsome, younger or older to cater for every taste. Average prices for a massage in Chiang Mai’s gay, “massage for men by men” shops typically start at around 600Bt for one hour. In addition, customers are also expected to give a “tip” directly to their masseur. Typically 500-1000Bt or more depending on the services provided. Most massage shops also provide an outcall service for the masseur to visit your hotel or apartment and some of these offer a fixed fee including tip. Opening hours are usually early afternoon to late evening, though check the website or call before visiting.

The Chang Phuak area in the North West part of the city is the traditional gay area of Chiang Mai where the go-go or karaoke bars are located.

Around Chang Klan Rd, a couple of km South of the Night Bazaar there used to be a cluster of massage parlours and spas providing massage for men by men to a gay clientele  Now there is only one of the originals left, but a couple of new places have opened in the last year.
