We know there are plenty of old queens in Chiang Mai who read Chiang Mai Gay News so we thought we’d tell you about the Queen Fest down at The Pub. Celebrations start today, Sunday 3rd June with the big Sunday Lunch with a special celebratory choice of roast turkey, along with the usual roast beef and lamb. The Pub’s “Best in Town” Sunday lunches are accompanied with crispy roast potatoes, fresh vegetables and their extra special Yorkshire Puddings with lashings of gravy. And there is a great selection of draught beers to wash it down with including Ice cold Tiger, Guinness and Kilkenny.

On Sunday The Pub will be televising the Thames Pageant from London on the big screen outside; the programme starts at 7pm.

Celebrations will continue on Monday 4th June, which is also Landlord Grahame’s wedding anniversary, and Tuesday the 5th will see the Queen’s St.Paul Procession on T.V. starting at 3.15pm.

Although not a Gay venue per se, The Pub, is a very friendly place with a proven record of welcoming all comers which has gained it a loyal following among Chiang Mai’s Gay ex-pat community. It’s particularly popular for the roast every Sunday afternoon and evening. If you haven’t tried it, pop down and meet Bom, the rather adorable bar man.
