Today heralds a major milestone for Chiang Mai with the opening of the much vaunted Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center. Unlike several other recent openings, Central Festival and Promenanda outside the city on the eastern side of the superhighway, Maya is slap bang in the centre of the cosmopolitan city area around Nimmanhaeminda and Chang Puek. Located also close to university and student areas it is likely to prove an instant hit and popular with the gay crowd.Maya Shopping Mall - Chiang Mai
