Despite it being slow during the rainy season there are still plenty of things happening in Gay Chiang Mai.
This week sees two events; on Wednesday seventeenth. Firstly, the Three Year Anniversary Party of Club One Seven takes place. Secondly the opening of a new gay owned restaurant and bar, So Be It, at the night bazaar close to CU bar.
Next week, 22 and 23rd July are respectively Asalha Bucha Day and Khao Phansa (Start of Bhuddist lent). These are major Buddhist holidays, when the sale of alcohol is prohibited. Expect bars and some restaurants to be closed.
Following the Buddha days, on Wedneday 24th July RAM Bar is holding a “Lanna Party Night” with Khun Wat’s team offering a Laana style costume performance. Complimentary Lanna food also available.
To round off July, on the following Wednesday, July 31st the Garden Bar will be holding its monthly Quiz Night.
Chiang Mai Gay Club See Man Pub will be closed for a refurbishment from 21 to 31 July and re-open with a special party on Thursday 1st August.
Meanwhile, See Man Pub’s major competitor G-Star Vintage continues to thrive and is now without doubt the number one gay venue in Chiang Mai. Packed every night with hundreds of Chiang Mai’s fun loving gay guys, G-Star has an action
packed, professionally executed show with some very fit coyote boys who absolutely exude sexual appeal.
G_star Vintage is located to the North of the City Center in Chang Puek district close to most of the other gay bars, clubs and venues.
