Soho Bar has now stopped their nightly live music that was running throughout the low season. According to owner Shauna, the bar has been going through tough times but they will soon be announcing a number of parties for the high season to liven things up. Shauna had been talking publicly about closing the bar or moving, but now threatened enforcement of new alcohol laws seems to have been put on hold Soho has a new lease of life.
Late Night Venues
Over recent weeks closing times in Chiang Mai have been rigorously enforced as part of a clampdown on enforcing alcohol laws. For the time being this seems to be continuing meaning the activities of many bars that opened late is curtailed to a midnight or 1 a.m. closing time (depending on the type of venue). So if you are looking for a fun night out in Chiang Mai be sure to start early.
